Jewelry shopping for an engagement or wedding is both an emotional and a significant expense. This checklist is meant to make the process easier.
1. Set a budget
Because gold prices change daily, think of your budget as a range rather than a single figure. Follow the live gram prices on our price list to estimate the approximate cost of pieces in advance.
2. List your priorities
Decide your priorities among wedding bands, a solitaire ring, a set (necklace-earrings-ring), bangles and gold coins. Bands and the ring usually come first, the rest later.
3. Choose karat by purpose
14 or 18 karat is common for rings and bands worn every day; 22 karat for traditional bangles. See our karat guide for the differences.
4. Take measurements
Find out finger sizes for rings and bands and wrist size for bangles beforehand. Measuring in the middle of the day gives more accurate results.
5. Plan the timing
Engraving or custom work takes time. The wedding season is busy, so shopping weeks before the date will spare you stress.
6. Keep the paperwork
Keep invoices, product certificates and (for diamonds) certificates. They help with exchanges, care or resale later.
7. Don't hesitate to ask
Get the weight, karat and price of every piece clearly. We are happy to answer your questions in store or by phone/WhatsApp.
